Just plain old regular computer CDs.

Most CD players today play MP3s, even very cheap ones & some portable ones. Most older cheap CD player don't.

If it's already an MP3, Windows Media Player will record it onto a CDR disc for you.

They hold more songs than a standard CD, how many depends on what bit rate (KBs) you record the MP3s at. Be sure to record your MP3s at 320Kbs or higher, anything lower will sound bad.

ya they are normal cds that work only on pc and a few cd players..
it holds up to 500 songs because instead of counting minutes (up to 85 mins in a regular cd), it counts size (up to 730 MB in a regular CD with 3 MB for a 3min45sec song)
