The glow plugs start up, then the gas starts, then the glow plugs go out, (everything normal at this point) and seconds later the gas shuts off. This cycle repeats itself a couple of times and then stops all together. Any help?

Our friend aussie said "one of your safty switches is bad that says the burner is not lit which shuts the gas off. replace this safty".
A second option is that the safety is not bad, is working properly and preventing your system from firing in an unhealthy manner. Spillage switches, sensors and other safety equipment are there to keep your system operating safely and you safe in conjunction.
This is one of those times that the right recomendation is to call in a professional to check out the cause. Aussie may have been quite right in what the end result will be, but dont bet your families life on it.

Your flame sensor is weak. There is a "pencil" shaped probe above the burner. This will have 1 wire going to it. Remove the sensor, scuff the steel part with sand paper and re-install. This will be a quick fix. You should replace it. Any questions, em me.
