The entire complex, consisting of Six Flags Magic Mountain (theme park) and Six Flags Hurricane Harbor (water park) is known as Six Flags California. It's located in the community of Valencia, about 35 miles north of downtown L.A. It consists of 15 roller coasters and not too many flat (spin-and-barf) rides, but the current management is looking to change that in order to attract more families and discourage rowdy teens/gangs.
I just went there today, in fact.

It's actually called Six Flags Magic Mountain and it is in Valencia outside of Los Angeles. I went there once, the rides are awesome, but it is on a hillside so walking around wears you out because you keep going uphill. It also gets VERY hot there, probably around 90 when I went in May, and over 100 in the summer. I wouldn't go there again, but coaster enthusiasts probably think otherwise.

I'm thinking you mean the Six Flags outside LA. It's in Valencia, as an above poster said. It's pretty close to CalArts, which was super charming. It's a fun place. Couple of really great coasters.

Unfortunately. It is the worst theme park out there. I don't know how they fare up in other states but 6 Flags in Valencia is awful. Their employees are sloppy and rude, the park is always a mess, and the food is terrible. Its too bad too because they have some pretty great rides. But if the employees aren't up to par - I just can't enjoy myself. I've had bad experienced each time I've been. I haven't been since 2002 and I don't plan to ever go back.
Visit Knott's Berry Farm or Disney for as far better theme park experience.

It's actually in Valencia...and yes, I've been there many many times. Although, I admittedly haven't been there in about 12 years (not since I was 16) and I doubt I'll ever go back anytime soon. The last time I went it was SO hot and SO ghetto. I used to love it though.

Yep, My favorite. It's my favorite in the southwest. I just can't wait to make it to Jersey for the world's fastest and highest coaster.
