The Earth's mantle which is separate from the surface crust, has a variety of molten regions as well as a very broadly distributed region called the asthenosphere which lies about 100km under the crust. The asthenosphere is semi-plastic and moves very slowly over time, causing the long term geologic movement of crustal plates. Most of the mantle is actually rigid because it is under extreme pressure, but under the right temperature and lower pressure conditions common in the outer layer of the mantle these plastic layers can exist.

The mantle technically includes the crust, but what's below the crust is the stuff the comes out of volcanoes, which is a gooey, molten rock:
