I don't live in the UK but I have a pair of sugar gliders. They are great pets and easy to care for.Mine are leash trained so I take them for walks. I open the cage door and let them come out and play once a day for about an hour. I enjoy watching them glide down from the curtains. i also breed house geckos and leopard geckos.

Exotics, both reptile, amphibian and mammalian, are notoriously difficult to maintain and support. They are not intended to be pets, and people who sell them often obtain them from distributors who mistreat and mishandle them, resulting in a very high mortality rate before they even get to the seller. Those who survive can also suffer medical problems as a result of their mishandling. Please reconsider your desire to own an exotic - if you love these marvelous creatures, consider volunteering at a zoo or donating some time to an environmental group instead. Dogs and cats, as well as long-term small domestics such as guinea pigs and rabbits, make marvelous pets.
