Make sure you are deleting the right svchost.exe.

The real svchost.exe is located in the %SystemRoot%\System32 directory and is a critical component of your windows operating system.

Personally, I've never heard of a virus masquarading as this file, but it is possible. If you are sure the real svchost is infected, you'll want to use the emergency repair disk and replace this file with a known good copy from your windows CD.
