Yes, it's possible. I had that happen with all three babies.

There are no guarentees. With my first child, I didn't get it for 7 months, but I breastfed until he was 2. With my second child, I got to go almost a year without a period.
The most important thing for you to know, though, is that even if you don't get a period, it doesn't mean you aren't fertile. Use another form of birth control while you are breastfeeding to ensure you don't have another baby before you are ready. The articles below explain the issues in more detail. You really should read them.

It's different for everyone. My sister exclusively breastfed her son until 4 months when she started solids, and she got her period at 6 weeks after delivery. I breastfed exclusively and started solids at 3.5 months and just got my period back at 9 months postpartum. My daughter was a frequent nurser until she hit about 7 months(14+ times a day) - then she dropped down to 6-8 nursing sessions a day, and nothing else changed in the few weeks before I got my period back.

Manny women do not get a period while they are exclusively breastfeeding their baby. Sometimes it doesnt return until after the baby is weaned. Typically it returns after you introduce solids and start to nurse less often. (You should still use birth control during this time, because you cannot predict when it will return!) Otther women went right back to it...cross your fingers you'll be among the lucky ones!

It is normal to not get your period then entire time you are breastfeeding, however for most women it comes back when you start introducing solids at 6 months.

I got my period when my daughter was about 6 months old.
My sister breast fed for a year, and never had a period during that time. She's now pregnant, and didn't have a single period between her first and second child.

Yes you can. Breastfeeding can delay the onset of your period, but you can ovulate at any time and it should not be used as birth control.

Everyone is different. I got my period 6 weeks after I gave birth each time with all 3 of my kids and I breast fed them exclusively. Some get their periods, some dont.

I got my period back when my breastfed daughter was about 5 months old. And I got pregnant again when my still-breastfed daughter was 10 months old! In fact, I'm 8 months pregnant, and she's still nursing.
In other words, use your birth control!!!!!

You can. They're typically not regular, though. And yes, you can get pregnant again while breasfeeding... There was an old wives tale that said you couldn't... but I have a friend who's got two girls 10 months different in age... proving it's not true!
