MLB has a long season so during the season they practice usually about 2 hours on field, 1.5 hrs in the batting cage and an hour in the weight room (adv) .certain players may spend more or less time in certain areas it just depends.

Off season- they hit in the cage alot and have a throwing program
Spring they have camp and practice most of the day
