I am writing a script which will have some of the feel of Alien. It is about how the space, the universe we know is open to tourist exploration. The unexplored space is through black holes and wormholes and I need to know of any interesting theorys or statements about what horror you may encounter is you were to go through. Also the script has a feel of Dark Horizon with Laurence Fishbourne. If we were all alone in the vastness of space what would we feel and what would we see? I need lots of science info as well as interesting ideas please also references to books such as Ringworld (Halo videogame based on it) I would love. Obviously not Ringworld because it has been used

I can't resist sharing this. Although it could get me put in a padded room. When I was a small boy my older brother Who I thought new everything. told me that space was a vacuum. and I ask him what it was made of. He said nothing. And I said I don't believe that. And to this day I still believe there is no such thing as nothing. For if it is nothing then it does not exist. So I have decided the stuff that is steaming out of the black holes is that very thing that cannot be measured by anything that we have . It is said that our scientist are trying to find a missing equation for the volume of space. But these particles are so small they can't find them. They also tell us that Black Holes are eating up planets. It is my belief that those planets are being converted into those immeasurable particles. And that is what is causing our (and all) Galaxies to expand. I am now 63 and still believe this.

A lot of it will depend on the level of technology you give your script world. In Star Trek space technology is very advanced and governmental structures are stable so most civilians don't experience the horror Kirk and Enterprise gang do. In Battlestar Galactica space technology isn't much better than ours and governmental structures are in a shambles. So space travel can hold many horrors: Radiation, food shortages, enemy attack, terrorism, political corruption, crime, fuel shortages, getting lost, insanity, drugs, etc.

I love sci-fi, but I'm too new to it. Here are some links that might assist you:
From NASA, "The Science of Star Trek":

The science of science fiction:
Here is an article about where to find your ideas as well as what makes a good story. One idea I found interesting in her article was the use of a white hole as an energy source.
