it is the best time, your car will stay clean for a few days....wipe down around the doors to preventy them from freezing, and leave one door slighty ajar ( not closed tight ) this way it cannot freeze shut

Absolutely not! any water that comes in contact with metal in sub zero temperatures will definitely freeze causing your doors to freeze shut and door handles, key locks, and windows will also freeze and will become fragile enough to break.

I've washed my car many times at sub-freezing temps around 15 or 20F without any problems. I find that the car washes usually close up if the temp is colder than that.

Not really...if you must wash your car, I would advise taking it to a good deatiling place. A lot of them have the garages they can do it inside. It will cost you more, but your car will be clean.
If you're on a tight budget, you can get a rag and a bucket of hot soap water. Wipe it down manually, do the windows last, and then follow up with hot water (no soap) and wipe it down again...

If your car has road salt on it then you should wash it in the winter. If not your going to reduce the life on your body panels. Make sure you wipe down around the windows and doors, so they do not freeze shut.

It's fine, but your doors will freeze shut if they are not completely dry (seals and all) when you turn your car off for the night.

I think if you go to one with the dryer it doesn't matter- but otherwise your doors could freeze shut. We go through them- otherwise the salt build up and our cars would start to rust.
