if for EXAMPLE if i get pregnant and the doctor says that there is over 98 percent chance that my baby and me will DIE due to health complications,
and my doc gives me an option for abortion...........why would it be your business? (and NO im NOT referring to abortion for birth control, im referring to a life/death situation)
who are YOU to judge me and my life and look through my medical records and history? would you want ME or any other stranger to look through YOUR medical records and dictate what you should or shouldnt in this time of MEDICAL crisis. Abortion is a MEDICAL ISSUE.
don't you think i as a woman am capable enough to make my own decisions regarding this matter?
abortion is a medical issue between ME and my doctor... who are you to take away my choice? who are you to look through my medical records?

bubba can u give me a valid link to your statistics.
by the way, you missed the point completely. my reason for abortion and my abortion is none of your business. to find out the reason for my abortion would entitle you to look through my medical records, which you CAN'T.
would you want me or strangers looking through your medical records and deciding which procedures doctors can and cannot do on your body?

As I've told my children and grandchildren. it is their bodies, and it is their choice. I cannot make the choice for them, but what ever they did, I supported their choice.

But I know who you are angry at. All the other people out there that feel that their rules must apply to everyone else, even if those people have completely different beliefs.

Good luck.

I am not opposed to abortion if the life of the mother is threatened. I am certain that most reasonable people would agree that if the mother's life is in peril and especially if the baby will probably die, then yes, an abortion is the proper medical treatment. I am not exactly sure where you're coming from as far as looking at your medical records. Who is for this? I don't know anyone who would approve of this.
Having said that, I am opposed to abortion when it is of a convenience nature, when it is done simply to get rid of a precious life that you do not want. To me, this is unconscionable. Sorry, it is not just between you and your doctor. There is a third party involved who is living and growing, a precious baby who deserves a chance at life. How someone can so callously dispose of such a beautiful creation is a mystery to me.
I in know way mean to sound judgmental here. But this is how I feel about this issue.

Whoa, hold on there. Many people who think rationally would have no objections to you ending your child's life if the medical doctor truly deems it necessary for your health. Sure you have some on the extreme that say you should not, but that is where it is your decision along with the doctor's advice. The problem most rational thinking people don't like is that a woman can get pregnant and end it like it was removing a wart after handling a frog over and over.

It's the insurance companies, government regulators, and employers who want your medical records, not people like me. Your records mean absolutely nothing to me, it's your soul and eternal damnation that concerns me. I know that you may think this is between you and GOD, but we Christians don't want to lose a single soul to sinful thinking. I pray you make the best decision for your salvation.

Who is this "YOU" trying to take away your "choice"? Would it really be your "choice" to have a complicated pregnancy that leads to either the death of your child or the death of yourself? I don't think that a medical condition causing someone to be forced to terminate a pregnancy should be clumped together with the defense "it's my body, it's my choice". Because really, it isn't a matter of choice, and no one in that situation should have to have a defensive stance.

But I agree with you for the most part. It is no one's (especially the government's) business what your medical records are. That is between you and your doctor.

I used to think that abortion was acceptable in cases of life and death, until I read that there is never a case in which an abortion will save a mother's life. Are you saying that it's nobody's business if a murderer goes to jail or not. All abortion doctors are cold-blooded murderers, so why is it any different. Pro-life people are fighting to take away your right to murder. Nobody should have that choice.

The scenario which you paint is indeed an issue that should be between you and your doctor. But you also must realize that over 96% of abortions in this country ARE for convenience and birth control. Would you be willing to compromise? If Conservatives agreed to allow abortions for rape, incest, and life threatening situations, would you be willing to stand with us against "abortion on demand"? We could stop 96% of the abortions in this country and you would still have the confidence that people in the situation you described would be protected. How about it?

Ah, I didn't think so. Your talk is sooooo cheap.

Do you ever tire of asking this question?

Look, there is not one single person who is anti-abortion that would say a woman was in the wrong in having an abortion if her life depended on it. Let me repeat: NOT ONE.
In the US, abortion is completely legal, even late-term abortions, which I completely disagree with. So I don't see why you're complaining. Roe vs. Wade will never be overturned.

Just for the record, it isn't my business. But Lady, you are shooting a loaded gun without aiming. You will find that people are not really upset about abortion when it comes to a life or death situation. People are upset when it is used in order to kill a child because of irresponsibility of the parent(s), not to mention maturity. People have to take responsibility for their actions.

i think of you made the comparable fact or asked the comparable question some a million/2 dozen situations. besides, it incredibly is not all approximately YOU, YOU, YOU. and that's only one occasion of a clarification for abortion. i think of there are particularly some human beings obtainable which could say that the existence of the mummy is a merely clarification for thinking abortion, me blanketed. yet i do no longer have confidence hundreds of thousands of infants have been murdered because of the fact of a valid concern for the mummy's well-being.

There now, do you feel better? Who is taking away your choice? Your scenario has much more support than you know. I know I support you. I do however not support the abortions because someone was too lazy to use protection. I think more effort should be focused in the prevention area.
