No it's two different things.

They have some of the same symptoms but they are different and treatment is very different you can treat a yeast infection with over the counter medications like Vagisil and Monistat but Vaginosis you need to see a doctor and they will give you some antibiotics and cream.

No as a yeast infection is caused by the candidia aka yeast bacteria while bacterial vaginosis is from an overgrowth of the anaerobe bacteria. Treament is different for each one.

It has many of the same symptoms, but is not the same thing. A bacterial infection is caused by an overgrowth of bacteria that is normally present. A yeast infection is caused by an overgrowth of yeast that is normally present. You will need an antibiotic to cure a bacterial infection.

Hmm...sorta, but yeast infections are from a fungus, and bacterial vaginosis is from bacteria.

Similar symptoms, but the treatments require different things.

somewhat but they are two different conditions with two separate treatments- yeast discharge is white and watery with no scent-while bacterail vag is yellow,crusty and has a smell.yeast can be treated with 3 types of meds-oral suppository and cream while bacterial vag needs a strong dose of antibiotics.
