I like them both. Apocalypse Now was more symbolic and Platoon was must have been more about what it was like to be there.

Apocalypse Now is an excellent movie. (See the making of it sometime if you can - also done by Coppola).

Whern I saw the director's cut of Apocaplypse, it became a better (albeit longer) movie
