Hi,
does anyone know how far the cinema in cardiff (center) is from the main high street of shops or the train station?
Is it far? or could you walk?
Thanks, help appreciated.

Some of the information on here so far is a bit of date!
The closest cinema to the main railway station is Vue, which is right next to the Millennium Stadium and only a few minutes walk from the station - http://www.myvue.com
The other cinema in the centre is Cineworld (used to be UGC) and is quite close to the shops, but is now right in the middle of an area where lots of shops etc are being demolished - http://www.cineworld.co.uk
The cinema in Cardiff Bay used to be UCI but is now Odeon. It's not too far from Cardiff Bay railway station, but is certainly further from the centre (though only a short bus ride away) - http://www.odeon.co.uk
The only other cinema remotely close to the centre is Chapter, which is a lovely arty place that shows some great films in a nice atmosphere - http://www.chapter.org

Which cinema there are two in the city centre, one by the bus station in Wood Street 2Vue Cinema"and the other Mary-Ann Street "UGC Cinema" next to the Springbok bar both are within walking distances of the main shopping centre.
There is a third cinema on Cardiff Bay and you will need to either drive,catch and bus or train down from the city centre

There are a few, there is one near the station which is a vue cinema, there is one in the red dragon centre in Cardiff Bay which is a Odeon cinema and there is one on newport road which is a UCI cinema (but the UCI is a bit far out from the city centre). There are a few more but those are the main ones. Have fun.

There are cinemas all over Cardiff (population 320,000) but there are a few within easy walking distance of Cardiff Central Station.

about less than half a mile. if you are going to the cinema at the city centre. go to churchill way (near natwest bank) then walk up the road till the traffic lights, turn right. its the 2nd left from therei think.
