Most writing software do have grammar and spelling functions yet some languages only have spelling. English has both always. Also you might have to input or make some choices before it works because grammar cecking is not a default choice.. I use Microsoft Word and ther English is alway the second language if for example the software is in other language like Spanish, french, Japanese, or whatever. Maybe ther are even other languages but english is always the second and default language. If this is your case, word or other programs to, do the foillowing:

Open document to correct.
Select tools from the main menu bar> selct idiom or define idiom> choose english form UK, US, International or wherever you think is best 4 you. when you do this make sure you also chack any box there is that has option like check spellling and grammar.

Then go to again to Tools in the top main menu bar>select options (some programs call it prferences or your options etc> A window appears with many tabs. Choose the spelling and grammart grammar tab> There select and check at leat the following 2 boxes:

Alays Suggest &
revise spelling with grammar.

Chose or select also the type of revision in writing style box, down right coirner of window, ther are options like casual, technical, fast, exhaustive etc.
Select the one you want. The most correct might be exhaustive or formal if for school.

OK your checked options>tool window closes.

You then select all the text from edit menu or triple/double clicking text. or select whole text with with the mouse.

Once selcted then selct again the tool bat menu and choose first option wich is spelling and grammar. It will start checking, indicating you what is wrong or doubtfull, probiding you suuggestions on bootm part of double window, You will have to take some action (this U must decide always since no softwre can understand 100% like U or me) which usually are to change, add or ignore. Choose change if you like the sugestion, add if the word or rule is not recognized and ignore if you think rule does not apply here. The software will keep mrevision till whole text is corrected, usuallyend of text unless something was skep accidentally. But it will tell you when it is finnished and also give you statistics about your writing level.

Hope this helps

Microsoft word has option 'Spelling and grammer' under 'Tools' menu which gives an approximate grammer chk. alternately you can press 'F7' which is a shortcut key for 'Spelling and grammer'. (You have to type your sentence in word document).
