ignore it? or do something?

Do something. Report it.. need prove? Take pics? record sound? Sometimes kids are too scared to admit to authority that bad things have been happening and blame the bruises on play fights with friends or falling of a bike. Parents will most likely deny everything.
Have you tried talking to the kids? Maybe let them know that you know what is going on and that you are there for them when they need to talk about it with someone? How old are the kids?
Also, is it a single family or are both parents there? If both parents are there, who is abusing their kids? Chances are he/she is abusing their partner also?

But yeah, definately do something about it! Good Luck!!!

yes. BUT you should mind your own business. Live and let live. That FAT child (in your estimation), may grow up in his Overfed Body to find the cure for Cancer. You see, being thin does not make you a member of the ruling class with the fat people your subjects. And honestly, maybe there is a middle ground? maybe your grandchild has been restricted too much? 30 pounds could be considered underweight for a 4 year old so, do you feed him enough? Everyone should be and is, entitled to their opinion. While I agree Morbidly Obese children could appear to be a form of child abuse, I also think taverns could encourage wife beatings and child abuse but I don't want Prohibition to return. Just leave people alone and let the world turn.

Do something!!!!! You can't sit idley by and watch children be abused by adults! Call the police, child protective services, whoever you have to to get them some help. Too many people sit by and let bad things happen to children. Don't let them be hurt any longer. Call somebody!

Where is the phone I am going to report them. You must report them, do not be afraid, any information you give will be strictly confidential.People who abuse children have to be controlled and punished by the law. Imagine how you would feel if you were them. They need protection from their so-called parents.

you have to do something. call the police or anonymously report it to child protective services. the children are defensless and cant protect themselves, so someone has to. if they are removed from the home, it will be traumatizing at first but in the end they will be so much better of in a safe and loving home.

i would continuously call the police and/or child protective services until the abusive situation was taken care of. i wouldn't stop hounding the people that SHOULD be intervening on behalf of the children.

ACT! In Holland there are people you can call (anonymously) if you think a child is being abused. I'm sure there must be organizations you can call. Just do it, you may be saving lives.

sounds only righty if you rescue the kids or help them somehow ,inform the authorities ,but make damn sure it is clasified as real abuse ,and not just parents who are hard on their kids ,
I was beaten at school frequently with a bamboo stick with a metal point
in Modern terms this is abuse ,in my case it was called disapline and was totaly legal

Obviously tell someone. Unless of course you hate the child(ren) enough to be happy that it is happening. If you are worried about the child(ren) then report it. From what I have been told time and time again, that sort of abuse just keeps getting worse and worse until either the child(ren) are dead or until someone reports it.
