How do you unsecure you router!?

Hey iv set up a jedi academy server but this guy says i have to unsecure my router to let people connect can aonyone tell me how to unsecure my router plz???...

LOL Techwizard.... thats the windows firewall, not his router.

If in fact you do have a router, you may need to open the port you
are using for your server.
As I have no idea what router you have, I can't tell you exactly
what to do, you'll have to search.

Do a search for "Port Forwarding" or "Opening Ports"

You might just need to take off your fire-wall so you are able to play. In the bottom left-hand corner, you should find an icon that is your internet connection - try to turn off your firewall that way, otherwise you might have to configure your router. In order to do that, you will need to find out what's your router's name, and just find out how to get to the set-up.

thats me you have to go to the bottom along the line where it says start directly across from that and click the one that has a computer with green signals coming out it then click view wireless networks and see the networks then along the side it says change advance settings itlll go to properties then click advanced at the top and chek the one that says allow other users to connect. good luck hope you understand.
