They can never quite explain why we were supporting Hussein in the first place? That we completely ignored the gassing of the kurds in the 80's and probably contributed to it financially?

Because many Republicans have accepted Jesus Christ as their personal savior they can do no wrong that will not be forgiven . This means accept Jesus one day and molest a child the next and you are still going to heaven .
Once you have accepted his forgiveness and his death on the cross for all mans sins they are free from all responsibility and can pursue a life of excess and debauchery .
This is the wonderful gift Jesus has given them by his death on the cross .
The 80-90 million evangelicals like Bush know that no matter what they do as long as they have Jesus as their savior they are free from all of the sins they have committed and will commit .

This is the scary part about allowing religion into our system of government . As more and more people live in a delusion that is accepted as truth and fat we will see more evil done in the name of I can do no wrong now .

They have freed no one and have made Iraq a nation in complete chaos with no boundaries or enforcible laws to assist in maintaining order .
It is survival of the fittest and those with guns are best suited to survive and drive out those responsible for creating this chaotic state that exists today in Iraq .

Reagan and Bush managed to arm Saddam so he could kill 2 million Iranian Soldiers and people during the 80's and people just forget this fact because to acknowledge it would mean you would need to do something about it . This can not happen with the party of the republicans who have already been forgiven by Jesus and feel no remorse for the actions which result in death all over this world .
By the way the democrats are not that much different .

Situations change over time, the US government once supported Fidel Castro, the Liberals were once Anti Abortion, Ted Kennedy is for taxing the Rich because all the illegal bootleg money old Joe left him is protected in tax shelters. Ted Kennedy calls the rich the privileged class and that this is wrong, but Ted had no such problems with rich privilege when he drove a car off a bridge and killed a pregnant woman and wasn't even given a sobriety test! There's plenty of hypocracy on both sides of the aisle!

They can't because they just need an excuse for their oil war.

And for bullwinklejmoose, Ronald Reagan was president when Hussein gassed the Kurds (3.16. 1988 )

Because they really dont care about the innocent Iraqi people. They just dont care about the people. They never did either and that is obvious. You cant just go to a sovereign country and start killing people in a moral way. So ??
They are not going to admit to contributing,,why, that would be as much of a crime as suddams death, when they are just as guilty,,hypocrites completely , thats what they are. To many in congress and recent presidency that LACK REAL WISDOM ! and Lack of real loving hearts.
