Has anyone seen this? I wanted to know why it's rated R. Is there a lot of sexual stuff in it? Aside from them being transvestites. Thanks

There is no nudity. I think they rated it R because of the transvestites and all the talk about sex.

There is a scene where Susan Sarandon gets naked but it is silhouette and you don't see anything.

It is a one of a kind movie and very funny!

I saw it in The Village when it used to play there with live people acting it out while the movie was playing (I was in 6th grade and took a trip with a local group). It is a bit risque and deserving of the R rating, but it's a great little cult musical film.

I've seen the movie many times. There is a lot of suggestive sexual situations, but it is SO camp and funny you don't think of it as being sexy. I think there are a few seconds where one woman has her boobs exposed. Great audience participation movie, but it is probably deserving the R rating.

there is a lot of sexual innuendo and suggestion with some bumping & grinding, mostly harmless
