At the moment, there are too many unknowns to know for sure, but your question also gives rise to other interesting questions. For example, will Massa ever be a champion? Kimi vs Felipe; who will win in 2007...and 2008? What will Massa do when his Ferrari contract expires and he hasn't won a championship yet? (and Kimi has won a couple.....or not won any?) If Massa decides to go elsewhere, where will he go? His manager is Jean Todt's son, so you would think that he would get a reasonably favourable contract agreement. Will Kimi/Felipe driver pairing last for a few years? Or will Michael dig up some new talent and kick one of them out?
Anyway, to answer your question, if Ferrari builds a championship winning car, Massa could well win the title in 2007, I think. Kimi hasn't yet shone in the testing so far, perhaps a sign that his driving style doesn't suit the car or the other way around. If Massa gets an early break, Kimi may be forced to play the supporting role for the rest of the season.
I'm not so sure if the Scuderia can win the title this year though...they've lost a lot of good people like Ross Brawn, Martinelli, Stepney, Schumacher, and the new Bridgestone tyres don't seem to gel with the red cars judging by the testing lap times....they have also had some reliability issues and if what they say about kimi is right (that he is a car breaker), Ferrari may not have a good year.

i don't believe that Massa has the consistency that is needed to be a world champion. last championship There were a few races that he drove well but then the next race he was down in 5th, 6th and 7th places with the best car at the time. this was while Micheal was easily the quickest driver from main competitors Renault. When Kimi settles in then i think he will show the different class between himself and Massa which Micheal showed. Massa is a good 2ND driver but he cant be a leader of one of the top teams as he is so inconsistent,Kimi has shown with McLaren that he is capable of performing at the top level race after race.Massa is good but know near the standard that is needed to be the world champion. Massa could win a race here and there is Ferrari have a good car but he wont dominate like 3 races in a row.

If Ferrari can make a car that doesn't break down like in winter testing (a lot of reliability issues don't appear to be sorted until the first race, and the long wheelbase has created problems), then Massa will surely be their champion. Raikkonen is too much of a car-breaker (I can guarantee he would have blown 4-5 engines if he were at Renault or Ferrari this year). But if Massa takes the title, let him take it in a fair fight, and tooth-and-nail with at least 2 other drivers (tipping Alonso and Kovalainen for the two rival seats).

Certainly. He has the best chance this year than ever. I'm sure Kimi will pass him after this year, but Massa will always be a championship contender in a Ferrari. He was only getting warmed up last year. And I love the fact that we never saw it coming!

i wish he receives to stay with Ferrari to significant different Alonso. i do not imagine he will be international champion, no. He has greater plenty, yet I nevertheless question his progression potential and do not imagine he can carry it collectively except he has an fully dominant motor vehicle and crummy teammate. very last three hundred and sixty 5 days became his staggering chance to be champion and he threw it away himself. The dumbest mistake of very last season became Massa throwing his motor vehicle off the line and retiring from second position in Malaysia. That turned right into a very unforced mistakes because no man or woman became close to him on the time (Kimi became 1st by technique of miles and third position became far in the back of Massa).

Yes! Kimi is good, but I think its Felipe's time to shine. He has so much passion, and also I think Kimi will need some time to adjust to driving at Ferrari.

He can be. However, Kimi's the better driver. Jean Todt picked him to replace MS because he envisioned Kimi to be the next Ferrari champion

I agree with Eskimo & sam m, Massa only able to show his speed in several/few race circuit , especially he got a terrible result in wet condition in last year.
Overall he still not show adequate competitive to win a championship if compare to Alonso or Kimi.
But who knows, things always change in F1, let's figure out in this year.

Yes, if he gets past Kimi and scores more than the rest of Ferrari's rivals including Alonso.

Absolutely! He is good. He is also the driver I am supporting. But he will face fierce competition from Fernando.
