E.coli is a common one, although it does not occur often. because flies are commonly found on feces and carcasses, they can spread bacteria infections quite easily and since E.coli is a bacteria common in the gut of many animals, it can easily be spread by flies which pick up the bacteria on their feet when feeding. But because house flies do not bite, they are not responsible for any of the serious diseases like malaria or west Nile virus, so there is no danger for that.
