there's a guy who i know 4 about 5 months.he's studyin wid me in d uni & lives in d same dorms as me.v started talkin when v discoverd that both of us like rock unlike 2 other people from our gang.@1st he ws wid me most of d time & v were talkin about everythin & discoverd that v have lots of similarities includin point of view on many things.1ce in a bus whn i ws listenin 2 my mp3-player i saw him talkin 2 a friend of mine.i turnd off my player 2 ask what r they talkin about but they didn't tell me.d same day they walkd off & were talkin 4 a long time.i felt kinda ditchd but later on they were askin me why am i so down so i felt the care & decided not 2 pay attention 2 this issue.eventually this guy got closer 2 my friend & was wid her all d time.but i knew he cares 4 me.many times he askd a friend of mine 2 take care of me.he was always there 4 me if i wanted 2 share smth.but after the holidays he's completely ignorin me!he's talkin 2 every1 except me.he's not even lookin @ me!

oh yeah...once i tried talking about whatever's happening...i just asked why is he so sad and quite but he didn't answer...just said that he's all good...but i didn't specify that he's ignoring me...

i tried talkin 2 him today...told him that other people notice that he's ignorin me...but he denies this fact and constantly says that he's all good....all my friends that he USED TO hang out with noticed that he changed but he does not wanna accaept this fact....what can u suggest?

look at my avartar....i am a girl...
here's one more detail....last sunday i went 2 the club and got drunk....was dumb enough to tell him this....today he asked me how was my weekend(even usually he never does...obviosly i asked him back what did he do durin a weekend and he told me that he went to the club and drank there....besides...i smoke and he doesn't...but sometimes when he sees me smoking he starts smokin as well....once he even had an idea of...kinda competing with me...as in smoke as much as i do....recently he startd smokin regulary....does it have anything to do with me?.....right now he's not hangin out with our gang at all....mostly walkin alone..all depressed and down...have no idea what to do with him..help me ooout!!!

in one of the answers there was an idea that he probably has a crush on me and in order to keep a friendship he decided to keep a distance....but he's actually ruinin our friendship..and it has nothin to do with me coz i'm friendly with him even though he has this weird attitude....all ohter people in our gang are already pissed at him because of him not talkin to us properly...

Are you sure he hasn't got a girl friend back home or maybe he has been in touch and he's feeling a bit torn.Maybe that's the music he once listened to with her.You should try and make conversation with him even if you only ask how he is and what hes been up to since you last saw each other.If he ignores you then maybe just ask him if you have offended him in anyway.Maybe someone else Fancy's him and they know you do and there trying to ruin your chances for there own satisfaction

I think that this guy got something like a crush in you and is doing his best to ignore it or better yet stop the feeling so as not to destroy the friendship between you. So maybe that is why he is hanging more with your friend. But as it turned out you misinterpreted it and is now worried but as far as I know and observed men, who spend lots of lots time in a certain girl will somehow fall in-crush with that girl.

Well on my own point of view,The best thing to do is talk to him,if he doesn't do the first move to talk to you like before well you can take the first move now to talk to him and ask him what seems to be the reason and tell him frankly that you feel that he was kinda avoiding you.Its so hard to just suddenly twisting the story just like that,and you will be kept guessing and questioning what seems to be the problem or have you done anything wrong on him to avoid you.Gurl you have to take a stand now and talk to him.At least if he is not interested on you i mean to be his friend well then fine,,,,but don't hang yourself....

i dont know ..but i feel that u made him feel that he is more than just a friend to u maybe thats why he wanted to get back a little....maybe he wants you as a friend but he feels u want more than that....i dont know if that makes sense but u gave me the feeling that u like the guy,,,,
i suggest u give him some space like some time to be alone when h is alright he 'll get back to normal

Could be that he is dating your friend and he thought that maybe you liked him as more than a friend and he didn't want to hurt your feelings so he is ignoring you cause he doesn't know or want to tell you that he is with your friend.
