There would likely be more advantages to the U.S. than the UK.
Such a union would bolster the U.S. dollar. The dollar is suffering from the U.S. trade deficits and run away government spending. With the U.S. debt beyond its ability to repay, many international exporters are beginning to trade in the more stable Euro.
Since the UK is a major exporter of North Sea oil, this international trade would bring support to the declining dollar. As far as any advantage to the UK, I don't see any. I don't see them wanting to take part in the incredible debt of the USA.

Theres an advantage in that ? We do not even share borders, and ancient bloodlines make them family, yet, is such a big family that agrees with government a good idea ??
Hmm,,,I can find an advantage, sorry. Besides , we dont want sharia law courts taking up overflow here in the USA. We would rather they make marijuana legal like Canada, and reduce that overflow naturally. It does no good anyways, at least 80% of them still continue with it. After all, it is easily naturally grown with no need to actually plant it. Yet, they tie up courts, jails, prisons for ignorance !!

Well Britains murder rate would go up, Inbreeding would increase in southern Britain, gun related crime would go up. The average weight of Britons would increase massivly, a gang war between 2 sets of idiots calling themselves bloods or crips would start and another one between cops and ms13 and we would lose much of our freedom.

Lets hope the US never ever ever gets any rule of the UK. The UK is a great country and the US would be the death of it.

Sorry...but Bush signed the North American Union Agreement(in 2005). We will become one nation with Mexico and Canada. Doesn't that just make you feel all warm and cozy??
UK....stay ONE nation to yourselves while you can!
