I believe that is called losing your virginity. So it never actually "heals".

It never heals, once broken it is gone. That is why it is used to determine virginity. However, a hymen can be broken from horseback riding as well. Look up hymen under yahoo visuals, and look at anatomy sites to show and explain to you.

A hymen is a thin membranous piece of skin that is present at the vulva and not the vagina as most people think.
Once it is "broken" it is broken and wont heal over. It doesn't mean that you are no longer a virgin. Below is a good source for some more information

If you are talking about it healing back to its unbroken state, thats not possible. Thats why a woman's virginity can be determined.
As for your bleeding, it could be indeed due to tearing of your hymen because of phyiscal forces.
However, it could also be due to injury to your virgina (canal) tissue. Which can lead to opportunistic infection.
My suggestion is that you see a doctor about this virgina bleeding lest it develops into an infection that can cause you to bear babies in future.

Hymens are pretty well over rated anyway. Be relieved that you've got it out of the way. It has to break some time.

once the hymen is broken, it does not heal, hence the phrase, loosing your virginity, this is because you don't get it back. as for the blood it could be your period.

won't your mother be disgusted?
when she sees your hymens busted!
won't your father show surprise >?
when your belly starts to rise.

yes, all good things must come to an end.
the end of innocence
alas
once the rain has fallen from the sky
who can put it back?
You break it,,,you bought it..only one per a customer..but
