Some of what you say is true, but it goes beyond that. Americans seem to be a very simple minded and insular group.
They don't seem to like soccer cause it's too homoerotic, too many exposed man legs and arms waving and stretching all over the place and guys hugging each other.
They don't like Rugby because they're actually wimps that need padding for their football games...and any sport that has to do with grace isn't well received. What's graceful and tactful about Americans?

becuase if the americans dominate all sports what would you have to talk about so they left a few sports for the rest of the world
to get excited about so you should be thankful they dont like those sports anyway.

not really. our womens soccer team dominates, don't they? we don't like soccer because to us it seems like a kids and womens sport. it's acually very popular here for kids 12 and under, but unlike the rest of the world uor kids outgrow it and move on to more complicated and skillful sports, like football. it just looks odd to us to see grown men playing this kids sport. as for rugby, we took it and turned it into a much more exciting, strategic, hard hitting, macho game called football. so why would we regress back to watching rugby? while we're at it, we may as well move back into caves and start hunting our foof with man made spears.

Not really. They are just caught up with their own sports (basketball, american football, baseball, hockey) because their market is big enough.
