Trusting Bush. I think Blair offered Bush support for Iraq in exchange for the road map for Palestine. Anti-western anger in the Middle East would have been abated by an accommodation for the Palestinians and Iraq would probably be more peaceful now than it is. Sadly Bush reneged on the deal and invested no time at all in pushing Israel towards a settlement. The population of the Middle East now perceives two affronts: Iraq and Palestine.

Obviously there are many here who will believe nothing unless it is bad, but I feel that Blair's motives were well intentioned here, although this doesn't absolve him from criticism for what has now transpired.

shame because his government have gone some great things on improving the Health Service and education and on social equality, and done a great job with our economy.

Tony Blair went wrong when he jumped on the "Let's Invade Iraq" bandwagon designed and implemented by the feckless American leadership. Instead of listening to the great majority of British citizens who opposed the Iraq invasion, Blair was guilty of myopia. He should be chastised for his lack of leadership and for following the lead of the American administration.

Spending more time sucking up to the politically correct wealthy middle classes than dealing with grass roots problems like poverty, crime, homelessness, unemployment etc.

Following the Americans into war in the Middle East against the wishes of the people of the UK.

Supporting George Bush and the New World Order! Brits...be very careful you are not led down the path that Bush has led the American people! I am one American that can not stand Bush. And I hate it for other countries that are being led down the wrong path by following Bush and his deceitful and lying ways.

Hope you don't mind an outsider posting on this question. You can learn a lot by watching the movie "V for Vendetta."

political correctness.
marrying that lawyer wife and her crazy ideas
lack of humility
never saying sorry
EMPLOYING GOLDEN BROWN when it wasn't prudent to do so.
going to war
betraying every principle the left wing ever stood for.
asuming everyone in the UK earns enough to live on (then taxing the hell out of us!)
and getting shut of that poor old cat from no. 10 when they moved it - what a cruel thing to do to a pet.

His cocky attitude and his unerring belief that he has not done anything wrong, despite what his own people are saying. It really gets to me. Also the fact that he and his cabinet have turned what used a socialist party into a doppelganger of the Conservatives. A lot of left wingers feel let down.

By allowing somebody else to think for him (George Bush).
By not sticking up for the UK, and by demeaning the good name of the English people as mere poodles of the US.

His lack of convictions and ideals were very quickly apparent. Then he became totally corrupted by power. A fine example of an empty vessel making the most sound.
