soak the bottle in washing bleach (diluted according to instruction on label for removing stains) then wash really well using dish washing detergent and bottle brush You can get very small narrow ones probably at a pharmacy used for baby bottles and teats and you could use the bleach or disinfectant that baby bottles are soaked in.Let dry really well. There should be no smell if it still persists and you are not happy repeat procedure then it should be perfect...you may also need to soak and wash the entire atomiser apparatus as the smell may be in the other bits as well otherwise instead of the bleach you could use brandy or vodka only a little and then you would not need to dry as much as there is alcohol in perfume

Try a weak acid - like vinegar. Leave in the bottle for a day or so.

Rinse and wash out. If the vinegar smell persists, make a paste of baking soda and leave this in the bottle for another day.

This should remove the smell

How about trying some bicarbonate of soda? This is a great material for absorbing odours and will be kind to the glass as well. Pour enough to fill at least a third of the bottle and leave for a day. Empty out and rinse using a normal dishwashing liquid.
