If they say 1:00, count on 4:00 or 5:00, you know, just before the end of the day and if you need parts, you'll have to wait till Monday. I'd say go back to your previous activity for Round #2 and enjoy your morning. But stay home, I might be wrong. ;-)

I'd have called the appliance store and cancelled the delivery. There are many more places with more timely people. If they ask why you cancelled the delivery, tell them "you need your washer before the next new season."

I find adding on an extra 3 hours to the time specified is usually about right.

surely Wonder Woman only has a skimpy leotard with spangly bits on it and a headband to wash? You could handwash them in a coupla minutes...

i would ring them and tell them you will go to the laundrette and charge them for the inconvenience plus the cost of the wash and dry also compensation on top for having to do so

I guess you'll just have to take your leotards to the cleaners.
