All the Rocky movies,
"Rudy" with Sean Astin,
that new Mark Wahlberg movie "Invincible",
"My Left Foot" with Daniel Day-Lewis (about a man overcoming cerebral palsy)
Forrest Gump (IMO)
"My Life" with Michael Keaton
"Dances with Wolves" (just an all around great movie)
"A Beautiful Mind" with Russell Crowe
"Cinderella Man" also with Russell Crow
all the Spider-Man films (especially inspiring to kids)
"Renaissance Man" with Danny DeVito

I could go on and on.......but those are good for starters

Depends on your particular taste, but I would suggest many of the Merchant-Ivory productions, most based on E.M. Forster novels.
