My friends and I all have myspace pages. We soon realized that ALL of us were getting friend requests from ppl we never known before. Ppl from Florida, Washington, etc. So are there. (I wouldn't doubt it)

Yes. There are stalkers on all sites like myspace. There are also lots of stalkers in chatrooms and other sites where they may possibly be able to get in touch with possible victims. Best way to stay safe is knowledge and common sense.

Unfortunately yes, there are some bad people on MySpace.
Actually a girl who I went to school with before met a 40-something year old guy on there and they "backseated" it in a school parking lot. According to the paper she didn't know he was a 40-something guy but she didn't care (Carlos Mencia comes to mind right about now with his catch-phrase or whatever it is).
But of course some of those people may be legitimate people who are trying to meet new people on there. Just use your best judgement and look for any give-away sings that someone's not who they say they are.

Yes there really are! The Internet can be most helpful and alot of fun but you must be very careful in how you use it ! Never let anyone know who you are or where you are and never never agree to meet someone in person that you have met on-line! You may have chatted for hours or days or even weeks but always remember that you don't really know this person! Have fun out there in cyberspace but please play smart and stay safe!

There are stalkers EVERYWHERE. This world is becoming a messed up place because of them. Noone is safe anywhere any more.
