BSNL is the leading spearhead in bringing the concept of broadband in India, and why not, they have even named this year as 'The Year Of Broadband' here in India!
As BSNL is the leading telecom service in India, they have their towers and wires on every bit of the country. So, it is not a big problem for the company to launch the broadband service. They rely heavily on the telephone cables, and by these telephones, they set up a broadband connection to the subscriber. So, if a consumer wants a BBNet connection, he has to take a landline connection first!
Yep, it is very expensive for an average cusomer for video conference, coz his download limit is just 1 GB ( for Rs 250/- per month). But if are coughing up Rs.900/- approx a month, then video conferencing is no problem. But you will have to do it at night, coz there is no download limit at night!
If u r paying 250/- per month, or 500/- per month, U will have to restrict the video conference, coz the bill will give you a heartburn.!
Hope I helped you.

When we take broad connection from bsnl firstly choose the plan in which you want to stay.
During usage we can check on our usage. If we use it within the limit , it is not expensive rather beneficial for us.
The usage cover both downloading and conferencing and all bytes sent and received.
In India though it is not so fast as compare to other country like US.But still it is very fast as far as conference.
For taking broadband in India we have to purchase a Modem Appx.1800/- cost.

BSNL Broadband is the best and cheapest that you can get in India.. It works on ADSL technology using your landline telephone and u can use the internet and the fone at the same time.
The video conferencing service can be availed by any user through IP or ISDN interface. The service is available to existing BSNL subscribers only. The Video end-point required for conferencing should be ITU - H.323/H.320 compliant. Any conference scheduled can have both Dial-in and Dial-out participants on either IP or ISDN. The customer will have to procure the video end-point from the market. Personal computer user can download the software called "PVX" from BSNL's Video Conferencing Portal to avail the Video Conferencing facility with their web-cam. This software will be made available shortly at BSNL's Video Conferencing Portal.
