Should Subway Keep Jared?
Jared is getting fat again. He is clearly NOT sticking to his good eating habits and exercise program. So, do you think Subway should give him a choice to lose the weight to continue to be their spokes-person, or they'll fire him?
I personally think he needs the ultimatum presented to him LOSE WEIGHT OR GET FIRED!
Subway made him rich and famous by putting him on all their commercials, so it's not too much to ask for him to maintain(or lose) his weight and STOP gaining weight!
What do yall think?

Makes sense to me. Why would they want a spokesperson who can't stick to the diet?

I'm not exactly tired of seeing him (no, I don't have a crush on him or anything), but he's not the spokesman he was now that he's gaining weight. Now it screams "I'm still eating Subway but getting fat!!"
So he should either shape up or be let go. There's gotta be another Jared out there somewhere.

I haven't seen him, but Subway should give him a chance. Everybody backslides. If he loses the weight again, it's another opportunity for Subway. However, Subway should introduce something new into their menu to help motivate Jared and to sell the themselves.

Apparently, he is a very popular guy - a cultural icon for many people. I read somewhere that the subway folks wanted to drop him from the commercials at one point and they actually saw their revenues drop during that period. So they had to bring him back. This kinda illustrates the power of their campaign. More importantly, the general public does seems to draw inspiration from the Mr clean or Mr healthy showcasing products whether we follow them or not.

I think that the Jared commercials are getting old. Basically he starved himself eating Junk Food. Not a healthy message to send to everyone.

No, he's kind of a boring guy. He came to speak at my husbands company and he said that Jared butted in front of everyone afterward when it was time to eat. And my daughter can't stand to watch him speak..something about his mouth. LOL!

They should hire Ralphie May from Comedy Central. He would be a good spokes person. If you don't know who he is search for him on myspace.
