Well, I sort of had the same problem, except I was ten at the time, and I like tried to put soo much makeup on, and that's why my parents thought it looked inappropriate, but then I looked at a few magazines and bought just like mascara and lipgloss, and you really cant go wrong with those, as long as you put them on lightly..tell your parents that you just want to look nice, not like slutty or inappropriate, and show them how you know you dont need like all kinds of foundation, but you just want to wear makeup like most girls your age..good luck

I started wearing makeup quite young and it did nothing for my skin. I ended up getting spots and wish I didn't bother.
However, if you think you need it then you need to explain that to your parents. For example, maybe it is to cover up spots?
Also, your parents may be scared that you want to wear makeup to attract boys so you need to convince them that you are sensible.
Why not point out the fact that there is makeup in shops which is for children.
Why not ask your parents to let you wear it around the house first so that they can see how it looks on you and they may feel better about it.
Try to compromise. What about if they just let you wear lipstick in a subtle colour?
Try to speak to them and find out why they are against it.
Good luck. Trust me, when you get older you may look back and wish you were still 13 and didn't need makeup.

Sorry kiddo I agree with them. Besides, it is their house and their rules.
If you have make up that you are allow to play with but not wear out of the house keep practicing with it until you can put it on in a manner that your parents will accept and that doesn't make you look like a hooker and eventually you will be allowed to wear it out of the house.
I'm lucky, my daughter is 12 and hates makeup. Just as well she breaks out really bad and make up just makes that worse.

They let you go on the Internet, but won't let you wear make-up. Personally, I think there is more danger on the Internet than you putting a little make-up on. However, my suggestion is this: try showing them you are mature by doing your homework, being polite, and giving out a few compliments (mom, thanks for the great dinner!) My daughter chooses not to wear make-up, but I know everyone is different. Just be who you say you are.

That's crazy! I've been wearing it since I was 10! But they probably won't change their minds too quickly...so don't push them. Just make sure to tell them how you would just wear a tiny bit and how classy it would look.

Age faster.
I never had a problem with my daughters using makeup, but then I was a cool dad I'm told.
My wife had other ideas though.
