Yes I think they do! My blue-fronted amazon parrot gets em. But I'm still not 100% sure whether he's simply imitating me!

Yes. I had a few dogs that occassionally got hiccups. I also saw on Monkey World that the chimps at Monkey World in Dorset got hiccups, some of them at least. I think in that way animals are no different from us. Whatever causes hiccups will presumably be exactly the same with animals in general.

Yes, my cat has had hem and so has my friends guinea pig, it sounds different but the vet said is was hiccups both times.

I don't know about all animals but my dog does.
Its funny but I feel sorry for her at the same time.
When she does get them...... instead of one quick Hiccup "Hiccup","Hiccup"....... it's three. "Hiccup Hiccup Hiccup" "Hiccup Hiccup Hiccup"

certain, a useless ringer for people. Hiccups are brought about through "twitching" of the muscular tissues that administration the lungs. at the same time as they twitch it forces air in & out of the lungs. people & Animals with Lungs all have those muscular tissues, & ALL muscular tissues will twitch sometime or later.

of course!! all it is is a twitch in the muscle that make them breath just like us. my puppy regularly had hiccups when she's eaten her dinner to quickly
