I'm a 50+ guy who prefers, and relates well with, younger men.

My 21+ boyfriend states that he prefers, and is only attracted to, older men.

Although we have a great relationship presently, I often think about the possiblility for future complications, ( eg: physical / mental decline, differences of interest / mobility, erectile dysfunction, etc).

I'd appreciate some serious comments and opinions regarding maintaining the balance to:

Enjoying the present... without being blind to, or in denial concerning, the future...

No one gets any promises in life except for death. If this works for the two of you, who cares about the future, and how exactly do you control that? Sure those are worries, but he could walk in front of a bus too, and there ya go.

Spend less time worrying about aging (typical for us over 50's), and more time enjoying the fact that you are hot enough to attract and keep someone half your age. Aging is fricken scary, just let it go and keep on your path. Best of life to the both of you.

First of all, there is nothing wrong with your mutual attraction. However I think that income disparity can become an issue. Also, as your sexual desire diminishes you are going to have to allow him the freedom to see other guys. These can be tough issues but they are not insurmountable. I would also beware of his becoming too dependent on you-he is attracted to dad types after all. best of luck to you both----
PS Don't worry about ED. Cialis is superb!

I would n't worry about it, if your b/f prefers older men then be happy with that, and if he really loves and cares for you none of the stuff will matter. I am older and my b/f younger also and there is very few problems with that. So as long as the younger prefers older men then I don't worry about it.
