Depends on the surface that the runners are lying on. There are mat-like products (available in IKEA) that you can cut to shape. The type for runners for wooden or shiney floors is like a rubberized mesh. The type for runners on a carpet is a felty slightly sticky feeling material. Hope this helps!

You can try puffy paint; get a color that blends with the back of the runner and paint a squiggly pattern over the back of the runner. Let it dry thoroughly -- at least 24 hours. The puffy paint will keep the rug from slipping. You can find puffy paint at almost any craft store; Tulip is a good brand.

You can also purchase non-skid pads to put under the runner.

dont spray anything on go to your local carpet shop they should have tape that you put on th back of the runner its not very expensive its about £2.50
