China does want to be a super power but it is becoming a rich nation. As its citizen increasingly gain wealth it will be less likely to be an enemy. What are your thoughts on Chinas direction.

China is VERY smart !!! They are saving resources while concentrating on technology. They won't have to go to war with U.S. just wait for resources to decline enough for the suitcase bombings to cripple. Their move will be man-power when they march on the middle east.

No, because war would mean incredible loss of life. They're going to win it from the inside. If there was ever confrontation, the China could win overnight, simply by pulling its workers out of the country

I think that China wants to replace the US as a major influence in the world.
I am very suspicious of China's program to develop a weapon system that can be used to destroy satellites in orbit. Their ambitions in this area could indicate many things, one of them being to prepare to destroy the satellites used by our military in targeting, weapons control, and intelligence.

I think that if they did, they would keep silent until war time, I do not think they would publicly announce it. I think they would do it in a sneak attack threatening all peoples of the US, and not really get the guilty parties.
I hope that the people get more finances, cuz they have never had much oppurtunity to work for decent pay.

no, it's display of power is to show to the world that they are no longer inferior to the western hegemone, but the fact is their level of military technology is still low compared to other first world powers. i.e. the little island of taiwan has more sophisticated US- made aircraft compared to inferior homegrown aircraft developed in the mainland china.

im more afraid of north korea and iran than i am of china...it would be economic suicide to try and attack the US..
