It depends on the intelligence of the individual, how far they are willing to research things before they accept or denounce them.
Some people are paranoind and think that getting their post late is a conspiracy, or their mobile phone is tapped just because there is an echo on the line.
I would say that t in te news and media there are pieces of the truth and a lot of sugar coated distractions. On e also has to look at the world population, how many people have access to the news and how many people have to rely on "Chinese whispers"?
I think there are still too many ignorant people out there, so my answer is No.

the days while human beings theory the metric equipment could rework our society are long long gone. manufacturers who export particularly some products have already converted to metric so there is not any one left who stands to earnings all that lots. i think of the metric equipment will steadily take over in the U. S., even yet it would not grant sufficient reward at this element to warrant forcing it. probably, Obama is wise sufficient to spend his political capital on something significant.
