I didn't submit any financial information, but they did dupe me into submitting my postal mailing adress/phone number. They also saw my resume online. This happened while job hunting at careerbuilder.com. I know they're in business to update/sell information for spamming purposes, but wanted to know if I am going to have problems with identity theft. Thanks!

I dont think they have any info for identity theft...I mean you can call 411 and get a phone no. and address for most people..even the phone book......they need social security no. or drivers license no. or something more...but you know what you shold do? Contact the Better Business Bureau....

This is why it is always a good idea to use a fake name in anything connected with the internet. I use fake names and it's funny but about 8-10 months later mail for that non-existent person starts showing up, which goes to show you how your information is shopped around like crazy.

If all they have is your name and address you might be not so bad off.You might want to go back online and repeat the process using several fake names and see what happens. Keep em guessing.

Never give out any info that is not public. Without your SS # and
banking info, there is not much they can scam you for.
