Also, a file suddenly appeard in my drive d e and c, which is "system volume information" and "page file" and "recycled". note: all the stuff that suddenly appeard are kinda blurry. Can anyone tell me what's wrong with my computer and how i can fix it?

There's nothing wrong with your computer, what's happening here is that you've somehow switched on the option to view Hidden files in Windows. All those new files you're seeing in your various hard drives are legitimate system files and have always been there, you've just never been able to see them before. And the copy of your Word doc that appears when you open it is just Word keeping auto-recovery data while you've got the document open, which again it's always done, you've just never been able to see the file because it's set to be Hidden.

If you want to hide all these files again so you don't see them any more, do the following:

- Open any folder.
- Select the Tools->Folder Options... menu item.
- Go to the View tab.
- Select the " Do not show hidden files and folders" radio button.

If you know the name of the virus go to symantec.com and search for information on the virus. They will provide step by step directions on how to get rid of it.

You should also get a program called "hijackthis". Hijackthis will provide a listing of everything that is loading on your computer and provide a means to delete those items. It's a little intimidating to use when you are at the point that you are.

On my computer I ran a hijackthis report when everything was working perfectly. Then I have a reference to look at when something goes wrong.

Good luck with this. It might be quicker, and no less painful to just reformat the hard drive and start over.

Totally agree with Dene.....

Use system restore to go back to a point before you acquired the virus.

This is the easiest fix there is!!!

Start > Programs > Accessories > System Tools > System Restore

Click on "restore my system" and then select a date a day or two before you realized the problem. Click on restore my system, etc. and this should take your pc back to before the problem arose.

Good luck!! Hope this helps.

Better have your drive reformatted. Just back up important files.
