How can I make my own style and not have everyone copy it?

Question

Everytime I have a new addition to my style, everyone starts copying it. Then I see other people going up to them and telling them how mu ch they love that shirt or something. It gets really annoying seeing other people get credit for my creation. I know that it's just clothing but when your in high school, its all about who has the best style. I shouldn't have to keep changing my style because everyone else steals it.

I understand what you feel but, try taking it in a positive way.. Your a trendsetter, you have a creative mind that some people think, they wouldn't have thought in a million times how you put up an outfit.. I think that you have a very precious gift and you better get used to some people copying you.. I mean, being first in trend is enough reason for you to be proud of yourself and your work..

Just wear whatever you want. If she has a problem with it, tell her to go **** herself =). She must be pretty conceited if she assumes that she's in fact SO AMAZING that EVERYONE wants to copy her. What she wore that day, or how she did her hair she probably copied from another magazine, t.v. show, website, etc. Seriously, nothing is really "original" anymore because almost every style out there has been done at least ONCE by some person somewhere before... if that makes sense. So accusing someone of stealing your style or whatever is kind of ignorant... =/. I have those people at my school,too. The ones that are all like, "Oh, well I _______ before everyone did". I don't feel threatened by them, I just roll my eyes and continue on my way. I hope I helped =).

The only way you can not have everyone steal your style is too look bad or dress badly. Otherwise take it as a compliment.
Its not really your style...you didn't design the clothes so you can't really say its yours. Either design your own clothes and never sell them to anyone else, buy ugly clothes, or shop at a thrift store or a small shop where they don't have a lot of repeats making it harder for anyone to get the style your wearing.
Good Luck and loosen up. I know it may seem like a big deal now but after highschool it sure won't be.

It looks like you're the school trendsetter! It can be really annoying to have everyone else try to copy your style, but you should be flattered --it seems like you have an awesome fashion sense! As long as you're stylish, you won't be able to stop others from copying you--unless you deliberately look as horrible as you can! And who wants to do that? =)

keep your style now soon everyone will think it's old and find their own hair or maybe one day say the next day if you don't stop copying my style i'm coming bald then everybody will be bald the next day and all you had to do was lie to them

I have the same problem. you're pretty much going to have to deal with it. I mean I tried so many different looks hoping that no one would copy. but they still do. i guess if you know how to dress, do hair and/or make-up. people will envy you. so just let them. try to have your own personalty. thats what matters most.

I have the same issue and its simple.. you can't. People are going to copy you if your original and its annoying but take it as a compliment(as hard as it is).

Get over it. Or maybe start killing everyone who copies you, and then maybe people will stop doing that, because they don't want to get killed too.
