Indians are just as hard working, intelligent and enterprising as any other nationality in the world. Given a chance they can equal and even better the rest. Adversity brings out the best in some. Indians are aware that they don't live in the wealthiest nation in the world. Everything is limited and not abundant in this country, especially for those who are not born to rich families. They want to come out of the morass and live it big. Their intellect and common sense helps them overcome supposedly insurmountable obstacles. Here people who have never been to school tinker, assemble and repair computers with ease. There are more such examples. It is mindset like this that helps Indians overcome the obstacles of life. Sadly this has not trickled down to every strata of society and still a lot of Indians lead unfortunate lives.

Indians migrate to U.S.,U.K.,Australia,Gulf countries and a few others. India very highly subsidises higher education . So doctors,paramedics,software professionals,and others migrate to these countries to work twice as hard and accept half the pay.
Pure "intellectual theft" is mistaken for flourishing. Back home they have no jobs. Amerca and other countries call this "outsourcing".

As far as Indians themselves are concerned, they are pretty cool and work pretty hard, but I worked harder than the Indian guy on my MBA course (sorry Nik!)

Though all the problems persists... we should not forget our cultural heritage.........

Indians have also the same right with other countries to Be progressive and flourish. do not despise other countries who are poor, they have all the way for progress
