I wink when I am kidding around.
I wink when I am listening to something one of my grandchildren is saying, and don't want to be interrupted.
I wink (sometimes) with a friendly hello.

I wink at my students when I tease them or when I am talking to another adult and the student wants to be recognized. I wink all the time....but the students know I am aware of them without talking to them

I have a terrible winking habit that I just developedas of late...I wink at everyone...espcially during conversations in place of saying 'know what i mean" or "i'm joking" or or or....sheesh....it's terrible..I feel like a sleezy used car sales man has possessed me!
