I agree with you, the man should have a say too. Unless it is in rare cases dealing with rape, incest, or possible danger to the woman.
I just think it's unfortunate that the society we live in today is very selfish, has a very "me, me, me" attitude.

You may call me what you like after you read my post. However, just because the woman carries the baby does not give her the right to murder the baby. You people get ticked off when a guy murders children. So, what is the difference. A woman who aborts her baby is a murderer and should be sent to prison along with the Doctor who performed the act. Is it the fault of the unborn baby that the couple were not responsible enough to use protection. Women need to understand along with men that when you have unprotected sex a pregnancy can happen. So this is an act of selfishness on the couple. Here is a question for you. Hitler was committing genocide on the Jews and the shitus committed genocide on the hittus and they committed genocide on the people in Bosnia. Can you say to yourself that it was okay for this to happen to the people who where murdered? Remember that men, women, children, babies, and even pregnant women were murdered. Do you think it's okay for this to happen??? If you are a human and have morals you would say, HELL NO!!! They have no right to do this. So why should women have the right to commit INFANTICIDE ??? Chew on this for a moment. To be given life is a gift from God. To deny life is from satan. Just saying!

Hi,
without wanting to pick open the anti/pro abortion argument I would say this.
At present the law allows that a pregnancy may be terminated if certain requirements are met. With this in mind I would suggest the woman DOES have the right to terminate a pregnancy. From the nature of your question it would appear that the relationship you were in was not based on love and was not well-founded. The lady obviously does not want to continue with the relationship and that is her right.
How would you like the law to work? That, despite relationship problems, she is required to continue with an unwanted pregnancy (with possible medical problems and expenses) just because YOU want her to?
I don't think so. Perhaps if you agreed with the lady that you will pay ALL medical and other expenses, that you will take FULL and complete responsibility for the child's care and upbringing and that you take out insurance against any medical problems that may arise either before, during or after birth, she may be more amenable. (perhaps?)
You would be required to take the child immediately after birth and, perhaps, be listed as the child's only parent?
Not so keen now, are we?
I think the unsatisfactory nature of your relationship is the cause of this lady's desire not to have this child.
Get over it, DON'T impregnate any other women until you have sorted out the emotional side of the relationship and you have a settled and loving parentage for any children that ensue.
You do NOT have the right to inflict anyone with the emotional stress of an unwanted pregnancy to say nothing of the considerable actual pain and suffering the lady would have to go through.
How would you like it if the lady applied to have your penis amputated because she didn't want any other children? Still angry at her?

The reason that women have the sole choice is because they are carrying it. Forcing a woman to carry a child that she doesn't want is tantemount to slavery. It would mean that she has no say over what happens to her own body.
So, by your reasoning, if the situation were reversed, and the man wanted the woman to get an abortion, should he also get a say in that, too? Should he have the right to make her get an abortion because he doesn't want to be forced to be a parent? I doubt that you feel that way.
Are you beginning to see how flawed your reasoning is?

I completely agree. You have EVERY right to decisions that effect your baby if you are a male. I've never understood why some women think just because they carry the child it belongs wholely to them (and still expect the father to pay for everything). The child belongs to both the mother AND the father. I have *NEVER* considered any child I have carried to be solely mine. Then again I've never considered abortion an option. Abortion is wrong no matter what, and it is very saddening that in this day of *equality* men seem to have so very few *equlities* in this reguard. You created the child together and the decision to end it's innocent little life should have to be agreed upon by both parties. Oh, my... I think I may have went into a bit of a rant....sorry bout that....

Because its the woman's body the baby live off of. It is the woman whose body changes, who runs the risk of dying, who will go through the pain of delivery and the physical and psychological changes of the post partum time. She will literally never be the same again. If you were to have to go through all that you would also feel as if it were your decision, and, next to the check is in the mail, men saying they will keep/support/always be in the life of their child, is the most frequent lie ever told. Talk about BS? That's it.

How could you think of doing that to a womans body and mind against her will. Forcing a woman to carry and bear a child she doesnt want is in my eyes almost as bad as rape. It will remove her power to choose, deprive her of liberty, and put her through pain she doesnt want. Its her body that has to go through with the pregnancy not yours. Are you willing to pay her for her time and loss of income when she is too far along to work. Are you willing to pay damages on her body (stretch marks and other changes). Are you going to pay all her medical bills(before and after birth). Even if you are its all well and good to sit there and say 'im gonna be a daddy' but the man doesnt have to do anything for nine months, whereas the woman has swollen feet and ankles, sore breasts, back ache, morning sickness, stretch marks, hormonal issues, child birth, recovery, possible post partum depression. If you didnt want this argument with her you shouldnt have stuck your dick in it. Just remember that its still half hers as well, not just half yours.

I don't blelieve in abortion anyway UNLESS a women has been raped or the life of her and/or the baby are in danger. Other than that she should carry the child to term. And it most definatly SHOULD be a two way agreement...any doctor who does an abortion if the father is in the picture without his opinion on the matter is horrible.

The woman's body goes through a lot of changes during pregnancy, and delivery is usually painful.
Why do you think you have the right to just "insert penis here; wait 9 months; pick up baby"? She will do all the work in the meantime.
Maybe parenting is a responsibility that woman is not ready for, and she wants a baby - later - when she can properly take care of it.

Because the woman is the one that has to carry it in her body for 9 months, give birth to something the size of a watermelon out of something the size of a lemon, and care for it when the father hightails it out of there cuz he changes his mind. These days men are so irresponsible and unpredictable that of course it should be the woman's decision. It's her body.

Then be fair, and let the man carry the baby for the last 4 1/2 months....Can't be done huh??? It is a womans sole choice since she is the one who has the burden, and pain, and body changes for carrying something she may not want.
