why my videos only play in quik time?

You probably selected it as your default media player. I would delete it completely and then download it again. Watching for the question, "Do you want Quick Time for your Default Player?" Select 'no'.

1. because you choose quicktime as your default player when you installed quicktime in your computer.
2. your videofile is read by quicktime only,,,

try to re-install quicktime and carefully read all the steps,,,
