feminism is standing up for your rights as a female, not letting society stereotype or put you down for doing things as a female, saying no to criticism as a female ( eg if a man says you can't be a mechanic because you're a female).

feminism is women finally standing up for themselves and demanding things we are entitled to like equal pay, and the right to vote. sometimes i cant quite comprehend the fact that once we weren't allowed to vote, and the fact that in some cases we still dont get equal pay!! im all for feminism, i hate the fact sometimes i was born a woman, because its like a god given right that I should wash up/hoover/do the washing like a general dogsbody even though i work as hard as a man (and get paid a lot less can i add) theres a fine line though. feminists can take it too far the same way chauvanists can too. i dont like defining 'feminine' or 'ladylike' as its different to everyone. i wouldnt say im not feminine yet i fart and burp, and why the hell shouldn't i? laddette culture has evolved because women can do that now. they can drink pints, and swear and shout. and now they are getting penalised for it. GIVE US A BREAK!!!!!

Femininism conjures up thoughts of pretty floral dresses,
not swearing, not smoking while walking in the street.
Being ladylike and not loud. But in reality we do get girls
that are loud, swear, drink pints and take no nonsence off
anybody.
I think its because of the passage of time, the vote and
equality. Although we are supposed to be equal to men,
I don,t think we will ever. Because they are the ones with
the physical strengh. Females have mental strength - this
is probably why we get more widows than widowers. Men
just can,t cope without us!! (I couldn,t cope with my hubby
but I put that down to my personality!)
