By discovering a way to make cells regenerate themselves? Or is that just wishfull thinking?

They've been saying that for centuries, let alone decades.

If they DIDN'T keep saying that, their funding would be shut down

In such matters, it is hazardous to guess. But stem cell research and other research to switch off genes etc., holds out hope to arrest cell decay and thus maintain a good body. But as of now, it is still SF. But many such fantasies became fact isn't it?

thats what i have been hearing that will happen in the next 10-20 years. that they will make up a cell that will keep regenerating ( renewing ) itself so that you dont get old. pshhh.. i hope it is ture haha. but... imagine the cost of it, it would be an outrageous price. and its a way of cheating yourself out of death but yaa... i'll use it if i can .

There is no way to predict the future. Therefore, no one knows what scientists will be able to do in a few decades (or not be able to do).

Your guess is as good as anyone else's. My guess is no since we can't do that for the simplest forms of life.
