i dont know if i should go to prom or just go to the party after. i really dont have a lot of money and the tickets are $100. then there is also buying the dress and getting to the prom. i want to go to be with all my friends but i dont have enough money. if i go to the party, there is no cost to get in, there is just the cost of the dress. but should i miss prom?

Never miss your prom, or you'll regret not going when you grow up!
If you really lack funds, borrow from your parents and promise to return to them the money. Don't worry so much and go have a blast with your friends. You don't need a super-expensive dress, just a chic dress made of silky/satiny material will instantly glam up your look. Get your friends to help you with makeup and hair (no salon, they cost a BOMB).

Try to get just a hire dress not buy one. Try shopping at sales in wedding shops, sometimes they have really cheap bridesmaid dresses which look great. Share your transport there with friends. It can be quite cheap if you share a limo with alot of you. Find a friend of the family with a hot car to drive you for the night is also a cheap way. I think it is a once in a lifetime chance, so go if you can find cheap ways of doing it.

Well prom is a special night that does not come very often and if it means just pitching in an extra $100 then i think you should go.

The only thing expensive here is $ 100 ticket, but I think it will be priceless for you later to spend this $ 100. I agree with all your answers so far. You can go cheap, but no-one know will know it.

No u should not! U should just buy a cheap dress in a sale which look elegant and beautiful n it doesn't look like it belong in the sale.
