I always thought that he had claimed to have grown up on the Red half of Liverpool, but I've just seen a photo of him as a kid in an Everton kit. Does anyone know of any interviews published on the net in which he claims to have always supported Liverpool?

he says in his book that he once borrowed a man united shirt and was pretending to be Bryan Robson when his dad called him in and told him never to wear it ever again lol. got no taste gerrards old man.

Well as far as I know, Steven Gerrard has always been a Liverpool fan. He has a cousin who plays for Everton ( I forgot the name of the guy). His cousin has always an Everton fan since kid.

I think you will find that he has always been a ardent supporter of LIVERPOOL F C, I am not saying you did not see the photo, But, I do not think it means anything, I also read the same article that said about Manchester United, and as they say the rest is HISTORY.

As far as I know he did. Along with Garragher and also Michael Owen. Gerrard also had a trial with Manchester United. He says it was to pressure Liverpool into giving him a YTS contract.

He supported Everton. His book claims he was red from birth but then again, OJ Simpson's book claims he was innocent and there are plenty of books claiming the holocaust never happened!

He was born a red and will always be a red. there is also a picture of him going around with him as a kid in a man utd kit cos bryan robson was one of his heroes. look at the pride when he captains liverpool. you're born with that desire.

yeah he a real reds fan, he my best player ever, ive read all his books and watched all his interviews, if u read his bio book he says he was a red fan since he was a little boy, he went to all the reds games that he can, u must read it, its a good book for all thos gerrard fans,
