its Windows XP how do i solve this problem?

Start with virus scans and if needed, removal. Then I would list EVERYTHING that has been changed, added, or removed before the random BSODs started. Then undoing each change until the root problem is found. If that doesn't get you an answer, then start with the computers RAM. If you have more than one stick, remove one at a time, reboot, shut down, and repeat until all have been individually tested on a reboot. If you get a beep code or some other error message when rebooting with one of the RAM modules, suspect a bad RAM module (stick). If that happens, Place the RAM in the other slot to rule out the slot it was in. If it is the RAM, replace it. If it is the slot, you may want to get a replacement motherboard.

Do a system restore programs accessories system tools restore and restore it to when it was OK you wont loose no files if it doesn't work i would copy all files you want a do a complete reboot to make it like new Dave

lloks like a conflict or failure of some sort would need the error code that it says on the blue screen when it happens to help anymore.

Blue screen, screen of death, restart computer, check for virus, Trojans, etc.

Other again it is the program idiots not doing their job properly.

Your memory could be bad. Try running memtest (its a free prog) to see if your memory checks out ok. Otherwise, God only knows. I would need the error code.

the dreaded BSOD!!! (blue screen of death - for people outside of the pc cliche)

sometimes... we need a little more specifics on when and why it 'sometimes' happens.

you probaly need more ram. Delete a few files or buy more ram in PC world
